We observe and iteratively manage culture like a product across three key areas. First, what behavior do we reward? We want to make sure it encourages solution-oriented approaches, team-based problem-solving, and a bias to action. Second, what is the energy like between individuals, teams, and our partners? There should be a healthy balance of tension and slack, positivity in stressful situations, and a diversity of thought and energy. Finally, what conversations are happening at the water-cooler? We want to build an environment for discussing new ideas, posing thought-provoking questions, and debating difficult solutions.
